Heather, gritstone and woodland in Nidderdale - one day workshop (RPS)
This area of Nidderdale is home to a wonderful combination of heather-clad moorland, gritstone boulders and ancient, sometimes precipitous, woodland. We will hope for a bit of summer mist for added atmosphere, and a touch of dew to lift the moorland grasses and heather; but even without, there is a super variety of subjects and landscapes to photograph.
Weather permitting, we’ll get the chance to work on both expansive views and smaller, more intimate details; with compositional choices encompassing everything from more minimal scenes to the chaotic and complex.
There are several excellent locations to choose from in the area and our choices will be guided by conditions on the day.
Timings allow for the potential to enjoy both a sunrise and moonset.
